What do you think? Leave a comment

I am personally very concerned about our environment and to a very great extent do what ever I can to not damage the environment that we all depend on.

I am, however, becoming more and more concerned about the politically correct and politically motivated Green movement. The thought that government at any level can tell me what to buy or do based on some bureaucrats impression of a product or service is outrageous, unconstitutional and a serious waste of tax money. I am not saying that green certification is government controlled (yet) but it certainly sets us all up for a soft takeover of the consumer products market.

Everyone laughed when government takeovers of private enterprises were floated 5 or 10 years back. Now, two auto manufactures, many banks, several insurance companies, most of the health care system, student loans and home loans have been taken over by the federal government and who knows what else is on the block for government takeover.

The very old saying: "Be careful what you wish for, you may get it" has taken on new meaning in the socialization of America.
