Every day millions of teen drivers engage in a life-threatening activity: texting and driving. To them it seems like an innocuous way to pass the time, but the facts tell a different story. Each year, 21% of fatal car crashes involving teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 were the result of cell phone usage. The statistics are haunting to say the least. Check out these videos created to make parents aware of the dangers of texting and driving.

This video message is incredibly powerful. Bravo to the people who made it.... and to Liberty Mutual for sponsoring it!

OK, I watched all three clips. It's just preaching to the choir. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything that was persuasive. You need something that might change a mind.

It needed some more movement. The last one should have shown another word colliding into the back of it and spinning it around.

 The videos didnt persuade me. The idea was definifely "impactful" but to some degree. To concince a teen there needs to be more of problem and then effect. Thats just an idea.

These videos were made, "to make parents aware of the dangers of texting and driving," and were apparently not targeted at teenagers; still, as a parent of children who used to be teens, I wasn't particularly moved to do anything after viewing these videos. They just weren't compelling.

BTW, the clips did not have the omg! factor! B/c, omg!, it did not have an EMOTIONal pull or DRAMA to them. How about better sound F/X? A teen's voice screaming while plowing into the tree? Perhaps mobile cell phones should be electronically disabled while in the automobile?!

The message is good for adults, but teenagers need to have something with impact to be set in their minds; these will bore them.

I watched all three and kept wondering what the heck it meant. I was expecting some car with a teen texting in it to come along and hit boxes full of sand. Instead it's just music and some odd display. It rates very high on the "HUH?!" meter.
